The work
Glen Ellyn, a Chicago suburb, is undertaking its first comprehensive zoning rewrite since 1989. ZoneCo kicked off the project in February 2026.
Glen Ellyn was among the early adopters of American zoning: its first zoning ordinance took effect on April 18, 1923. A copy is in our zoning resources library.
